The following comments are from Hafizi Azmal, and I am very grateful for his contribution:The "Palm Resort Special" as I had the story was actually a railbus specially leased to the Palm Resort not far from Johor Bahru (Near the JB airport). It could have been used to ferry the guests of the hotel, but I cannot confirm this. Anyway, the model pictured was used by the KTM for its railbus services between Sentul and Port Klang a few years before the EMUs were used to serve that route. It was also used for commuter services between KL-Ipoh, Taping-Butterworth, and JB-Singapore in early 90s. Lack of comfort in the railbuses (There was not even a fan - I remember because I used to ride on one) probably led to its service demise within KTM. The one pictured as Palm resort special (In Singapore - I went to JB July this year and remember seeing one in storage near the JB station) was surely lucky, as its other siblings are now rotting their way to destruction near the Tapah Road station in Perak. These railbuses were constructed by a Hungarian company - I cannot recall the name.
