photographs in this web site have come from a variety of sources. A few were taken by my brother, or me but
the majority have been contributed or “cribbed” from other web sites, or
scanned from books. In most cases I
have obtained permission from the owners, but in some cases, where I have no
contact details, I have not gained permission.
I apologise in advance to anyone whose copyright I have infringed. If you identify one of your images, and are
not happy for it to be shown here, let me know and I will remove it.

The technical details have come from a number of sources. J.A. Stanistreet’s book (see references)
summarises the steam classes, and details of the diesel classes has come from a
number of web sites and correspondents.
